Consider me your personal “gold digger.” I’m sure you’ve heard the quote: “Everyone can find the dirt. Be the one that finds the gold.”
And I bet as much as you WANT to be the one who sees the gold, you are really good at finding dirt especially when it comes to your own life.
I know I’ve said some pretty hurtful things to myself things I certainly would never say to my best friend, probably not even my worst enemy.
We are are own worst critics, so we all need someone in our lives that will look for and help us see the gold in ourselves. The more we see the good in ourselves, the more we will be able to recognize it in our friends, spouses, children, and our environments.
I’m here to help you find the gold because it’s my specialty. It wasn’t always though.
And y’all sometimes, the problems are really, really big.
But God isn’t just bigger than the boogeyman or the monsters on tv. He’s bigger than absolutely any problem that you will ever face.
He’s bigger than that THING that you are stressing about right now. He’s bigger than the thing keeping you up at night. He’s bigger than the thing causing you to weep and wail and beg for help.
That’s why He says over and over in scripture “DO NOT FEAR.” Not because we are promised easy lives. Not because things can’t and won’t be incredibly hard. Not because we won’t have problems. (Check out John 16:33 for one beautiful reminder.).
But because He knows He is bigger. He’s not concerned, so when we start buckle under the weight of all our problems, we MUST call out to Him for help. (Psalm 55:22)
And because He loves us more than we can ask or imagine, He will rescue us. (Romans 8:38-39) In His way. In His time. And we can take comfort in that.
